An Overview Of The Tapentadol Tablet

Tapentadol comes in the form of an oral pill, and it is an extended-release version (long-acting) drug which has to be consumed by mouth. The tablets can be generally taken with or without food in every 4 to 6 hours as required. If you are using the medication of Tapentadol, then inform the doctor that you may take another dose as soon as 1 hour after the first dose on your first day of treatment if it is required to treat your pain. Do not take an overdose at any time during your treatment, and never use extra doses of the extended-release tablets. The extended-release tablets can be taken only once in every 12 hours. Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain to you any part you do not understand. Take Tapentadol precisely as per the direction of the doctor and pharmacist.

If you are using the extended-release tablets of Tapentadol, then swallow them one at a time with water only. Consume the whole tablet without breaking or crushing it.

Your doctor will perhaps ask you to start with a low dosage of Tapentadol and eventually increase your dose unless your pain is being controlled. Your doctor might alter your dosage at any time during your treatment if your pain does not subside. If you feel that your pain is not reducing even after taking the pill, then call your doctor. Please do not change the dosage of your medication without discussing it with your doctor.

After you take the painkilling drug of Tapentadol for a period of time, your body may become habituated to the medication. If this happens, your doctor might increase the dosage of the medication to control your pain. Speak to your doctor regarding how you are feeling during your treatment with the tablet of Tapentadol. Never stop taking Tapentadol without speaking to your doctor. Your doctor may probably reduce your dose gradually. If you suddenly stop using Tapentadol, you may experience withdrawal symptoms such as restlessness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, anxiety, irritability, teary eyes, yawning, chills, sweating, problem in falling asleep or staying asleep, shivering, uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body, muscle, back, or joint pain, weakness, loss of appetite, runny nose, sneezing, or coughing, the hair on your skin standing on end, rapid breathing, fast heartbeat and widening of the pupils.

you also have to inform the doctor whether or not you are allergic to the chemical used in the tablet of Tapentadol. If you have an allergic issue, then stay away from the drug. You might feel a bit dizzy after using the tablet. Hence, it is suggested not to drive a car or operate heavy machinery after using the pill. Never use the tablet with alcohol or any other beverage as it can have an adverse effect on your health. There can be some side effects of the drug, such as slow or shallow breathing, constipation, confusion, and drowsiness after using the tablet of Tapentadol.
